Researchers from the Catedra EMC are doing an internship in Würth Elektronik Headquarter

Researchers from Cátedra EMC WE-UV created by Würth Elektronik eiSos and Universitat de València are working as interns at a the German company this summer. They are carrying it out characterization the resistance, impedance and resistive response of different Würth Elektronik shielding products.
Among the tasks that the researchers – the students Alejandro Serrano (Master´s Degree in Electronic Engineering) and Antonio Alcarria (Degree in Electronic Engineering for Telecommunications) – are carrying out are: the acquisition and comparison of magnetic permeability of Noise Suppression Sheets, as well as the testing of losses and coupling and decoupling according to international standards (Intra-decoupling ratio, Inter-decoupling ratio…). Near Field Probes have been used in order to characterize a microstripline PCB and, after that, they will develop and design some fixtures for carrying out the improvement of these measures. Moreover, they are finishing the implementation and testing of their final projects before their defence presentation at UV.
