The Institutional or Corporate Catedra’s award of the University of Valencia has gone to the Catedra EMC managed by the Vice Dean of the ETSE-UV, José Torres and the Senior Product Manager of the company Würth Elektronik eiSos, Jorge Victoria, is the first International Catedra of the UV and it constitutes a collaboration agreement between the company the university.

The Catedra EMC covers the areas of research, innovation, dissemination and teaching with the aim of promoting the proper evolution and integration of both the university and business fields. The Catedra carries out a lot kind of activities and events, from employing Research staff in order to do a PhD in the Electromagnetic Compatibility field, up to the development of Final Degree and Master Projects.

Furthermore, Catedra EMC organizes conferences, seminars and workshops in which participate students, researchers, professors and professionals of the companies located in Valencia interested in the EMC field. One of the more important outputs of this collaboration has been the opening of a new Würth Elektronik eiSos office located in the business area of the University of Valencia Science Park Foundation. This promote the transfer of knowledge from scientific research into commercial production, and to facilitate and support the development of innovative business, and activities with a high scientific and technical content.
